Jomtien Bars

Jomtien and Jontien Beach is a thriving bar and entertainment area quite seperate from Pattaya. Often regarded and quiter and less "in your face" it never the less has a great deal to offer in terms of nighlife and entertainment.

• Ace Cafe
  The Ace Cafe Thailand, opened in February 2005 in Jomtien Beach by Martin Smith, formerly of the Old Speckled Hen pub and guesthouse in Jomtien and Spicy Girls in Pattaya

• Drunks and Dare a Licks
  
  Drunks and Dare-a-licks is located in Jomtien, Soi 9. Just off Jomtien Beach Road. The bar is the 2nd bar on the left 50 meters up from the beach.
  The bar has been established for many years and is famous for the  Drunks and Dare-a-Licks Barbecue nights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. So far they have sold well over 20,000 steaks!  They say they taste better and are better value than even the big restaurants in Pattaya
• Jade House Pattaya

  The Jade House in Jomtien is actually a hotel but the adjoining bar is a popular afternoon venue, especially for ex-pats in Pattaya. It is located between Pattaya and Jomtien and is probably actually closer to Pattaya. If you take the baht bus to Jomtien it is on the left as you go up the hill towards Pattaya Water Park.

Rolling Stone Bar Pattaya is located in the Simons Beer Bar Complex on Walking Street Pattaya. As you walk into the complex it is the third bar on the left hand side, in the middle of the complex.

It is run by an English guy and his Thai wife and is almost always the busiest bar in the complex and probably the most fun. They also run the Rolling Stone 2 Bar also on Walking Street. Allegedly there is a Rolling Stone 3 bar but I have yet to find it.

Opening hours are (usually) 5pm to 03.30 am subject to regulation at the time.

Simons Beer Bar Complex is always one of the busiest places in Pattaya, let alone Walking Street, and Rolling Stone 1 is one of the most popular bars there.

Like all the bars in Simons its an open beer bar with around 20 barstools providing plenty of seating. On a normal night there are between 18 and 25 girls working and friendly bunch they are too. As usual they are experts at the connect 4 and dice games and are always willing to play, especially if there is a drink in it for them. There is one chrome dancing pole within the bar itself and usually a honey or two draped around it.

Beer prices are fairly standard for Walking Street. Heineken 80 baht, Sang Som and Lippo 90 baht, coke 60 baht.

There is a large TV screen usually showing sports.

If you are looking for a fun place to settle for a few hours, or even the entire night, with plenty of girls and prices that will not damage your pocket then Rolling Stone Bar Pattaya is certainly worth consideration.

Walking Street is a famous and vibrant part of the city located in south of Pattaya. It is a location that is well-known to many tourists visiting Thailand , and especially to the male visitors. It is also known as International Meeting Street. Walking Street runs from the Beach Road to the Bali-Hi Pier, and there are entrance arches at either end. The street is traffic-free at night (from 18.00 hours), and car parking is at the Bali-Hi end.
Night life
There are go-go (dancing girls) bars, beer bars, discotheques, strip pubs, and night clubs. In 2004 the local press reported that there were 30 of the air-conditioned go-go bars on the street (as of February 2008 there are over 50 in the street itself and adjoining sois). The street is also known for the amount of glowing colored neon signage used on and above the street at night. The city’s prostitution is concentrated here at night. In the earlier part of the evening one can also find live bands and fine dining. Closing time is usually about 02.00 to 02.45am
